Our Face Oil formulation is inspired by one of the most powerful and effective Ayurvedic beauty treatments historically developed for ancient royalty.
Kumkumadi Oil, used for centuries by South Asian queens and kings, has been renowned for its ability to illuminate the complexion, soften the skin, and reduce even the most stubborn hyperpigmentation (including melasma).
While the ingredients in the traditional formulation are highly effective, ingredients like goat’s milk and sesame seed oil can be comedogenic or irritating for sensitive skin types, such as myself. So we decided to reformulate the Kumkumadi Oil to better suit reactive, acne-prone skin.

A relative of the Sunflower, Safflower oil is an anti-inflammatory, deeply moisturizing ingredient rich in Oleic, Linoleic, Linolenic, Palmitic, and Stearic acid. Promoting prolonged moisture retention and enhanced elasticity in skin, Safflower oil balances sebum production, enhances skin texture, and promotes a more even complexion.
Containing high concentrations of Vitamin C, Amla promotes collagen production, helping to maintain skin elasticity and firmness, while preventing wrinkles and signs of aging. Its high levels of antioxidants protect skin from free radicals, while simultaneously moisturizing and brightening uneven skin tone.
A traditional Ayurvedic herb, Saffron is packed with an array of antioxidants, including high concentrations of vitamin C. It is rich in minerals, carotenoids, and has many anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and brightening properties. An ingredient perfect for sensitive skin, it aids in fading the appearance of dark spots and hyperpigmentation to reveal a more even-toned complexion.
Turmeric – or Haldi – is a treasured Ayurvedic ingredient used in many traditional beauty treatments. It is a potent anti-inflammatory botanical compound which aids in managing chronic skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis and acne. It is also a powerful tyrosinase inhibitor, encouraging the reduction of hyperpigmentation and stubborn dark spots.
Manjistha, also known as Indian Madder, is commonly used in Ayurvedic formulations to treat the most stubborn formations of hyperpigmentation – due to its anti inflammatory, antioxidant properties. It is an anti-bacterial blood purifier and powerful tyrosinase inhibitor which aids in the management of skin conditions such as acne and melasma.

Each ingredient in our Face Oil has been carefully hand-selected to minimize inflammation, breakouts, and clogged pores. All of our base oils are biomimetic have a non-comedogenic rating of 0-1. Our formulation was designed to sink seamlessly into skin while regulating sebum production – eliminating excess greasiness.
Our Face Oil includes 10 highly concentrated, natural antioxidants and tyrosinase inhibitors (responsible for blocking the over-production of melanin). It has been formulated with the intention to reduce the appearance of dark spots and uneven skin tone.
All of our oils have been formulated specifically for sensitive, dermatitis-prone skin. Our Face Oil contains 9 anti-inflammatory botanicals which aid in reducing redness, breakouts, dryness, and environmental damage.

I've been using this oil on and off for the last 3 years, and I can honestly say that my skin does so much better when it is in my routine.

This face oil is the icing on the cake of my skin care routine. After using this product for a couple of months I've noticed a drastic difference compared to other moisturizers I've used in the past.
